It is a division of the Kolling Institute of Medical Research and recognised as world leaders, as well, by the NSW Ministry of Health as the lead centre for pain research and education in NSW. Dr George Hardas is a leading Sydney Consultant Chiropractor attaining 6 levels of tertiary qualifications from Australias’ leading Universities providing the best level of care to his patients: MMed (Syd) MScMed (Syd) MChiro (Macq) BSc(Syd) Grad Cert Pain Management (Syd) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (Syd).

Having undergone 10 years of medical research with Orthopaedic Research Institute at St George Hospital. Having achieved training in the use of Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique in the United States of America.

Also undergoing a further 10 years training in pain management from the Pain Management Research Institute, Royal North Shore Hospital, being the first chiropractor both domestically and internationally  to achieve a Master of Science in Medicine.

Much of his time has been spent at the leading edge of conservative spine treatment, being selected and presenting at the largest orthopaedic conference in the world-American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons in the United States of America.

His main aim is helping people attain a better quality of life, helping conditions such as sinus/visual problems, having a meticulous approach to specialised individual patient care to help you become pain-free again.

About Dr George Hardas’ credentials with Pain Management, the first chiropractor both domestically & internationally to be Awarded-Master of Science in Medicine/Cognitive Behavioural Therapy as well as having his research published in the journal ‘Spine’

The Master of Science in Medicine (Pain Management) provides advanced education in pain management for graduates in medicine and other disciplines involved in pain management.

The course is recognised for Continuing Medical Education/Maintenance of Professional Standards Program points by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.

Established in 1990, the Pain Management Research Institute (PMRI) is a joint initiative between The University of Sydney and Royal North Shore Hospital. PMRI is a division of the Kolling Institute of Medical Research, which has the broad goal of improving human health. The NSW Ministry of Health has recognised PMRI as the Lead Centre for Pain Research and Education in NSW.

PMRI runs an intensive research program investigating the severe persistent pain problems that many people suffer. Research is conducted within a biopsychosocial framework and includes the study of basic pain mechanisms and the development and evaluation of innovative multidisciplinary treatments.

The Pain Management Research Institute runs an internationally recognised postgraduate degree program in conjunction with The University of Sydney, leading to a Masters level qualification in Pain Management. PMRI also runs continuing education and professional development events for health professionals interested in developing their knowledge further in field of pain management.

Dr Hardas is one of the very few chiropractors to have his research accepted and published in the medical journal ‘Spine’. Recognized internationally as the leading journal in its field. ‘Spine’ is an international, peer-reviewed, bi-weekly periodical that considers for publication original articles in the field of ‘Spine’. It is the leading subspecialty journal for the treatment of spinal disorders. Only original papers are considered for publication with the understanding that they are contributed solely to ‘Spine’ see-RCT Spine Volume 43 2018 final submission. The Journal does not publish articles reporting material that has been reported at length elsewhere.
